Think about all the countries Libs have demanded we stop doing business with and yet we continue to buy oil from Russia!

I don’t know why that is. Probably some complex logistical reasons.

Of course this should stop, but should mention it is only ~3% of the consumption, so it won’t be a big lever.

President Biden said Thursday that the U.S. is working with other countries on a coordinated oil release from the global petroleum reserve in the coming days in a bid to reduce rising gasoline prices.

The release from the oil reserves Biden is talking about amounts to a 2 day supply at present U.S. crude oil consumption rates ...and the plan is to release it over a period of 6 to 8 months. It is nothing.

Searched the web a bit trying to find out why this is and found this.

https://www.afpm.org/newsroom/blog/oil-and-petroleum-imports-russia-explained

“In 2021, increased Russian imports to refineries in California and Washington state have helped offset lower volumes of light sweet crude imports into California from other countries—notably Nigeria—and lower volumes of U.S.-produced crude oil shipped by rail to Washington.

Increased imports of crude oil to the USGC region in 2021 were largely driven by disruptions to U.S. Gulf of Mexico oil production caused by Hurricane Ida and have since declined.

And, since 2019, U.S. refineries have increased imports of unfinished heavy oils from Russia to help replace heavy sour crude from Venezuela that U.S. refineries can no longer import.”

Through our financial and other sanctimonious sanctions, except for petroleum, the fix is in. What is the value of this Ukraine exercise? Crowd control?

Well, I have to buy gas for the gas guzzler this morning. Looking at local gas prices on my semi-smart phone, I may have
take out a home equity loan. Nearing $4.00 gallon, making it between $80 and $100.

Are Y’all sure the ‘sanctions’ are on Russia and not the American public?

The US Government will allow payments for Russian oil! This is a perfect opportunity for the Global Climate Change leaders to demand no Russian oil for USA and Europe! If the Greens really believes in their cause, do it! Stop Russian oil! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
