The German 6th Army was encircled and starved to surrender. 250,000 troops, surrendered because of starvation. Marched to POW camps and from there, not released until 1949, 4 yrs after the war was over.
This is deeply trained into all Russian officers. They know starvation works. It’s the obvious path to crushing victory over Kiev by the Russians. Cut them off. Force those fleeing civilians back into the city to increase food consumption.
Then tell them daily all the food their kids need is minutes away. Just persuade the leadership to surrender.

I did not. And since you have never heard of the Siege of Leningrad, I’m in some doubt as to the depth of your knowledge of WWII battles.

***Russia tried that with the 1948 siege of Berlin with the Berlin airlift succeeding. There’s a possibility that the west could airlift the Ukes but it would be an enormous effort. I doubt we have the resolve.
