The Police Commissioner admits some tow companies are reluctant to help with the removal of vehicles near Parliament but says some towing will begin today.
The anti-mandate protest on Parliament’s grounds and neighbouring streets is entering its ninth day...
A tow truck operator has told RNZ that the real reason the police have had difficulties getting towies to move vehicles is because many of them were sympathetic to the protesters’ cause.
Greg Cox, who owns Wellington’s Cox Heavy Salvage, said he had been contacted twice by police, and he had told them his vehicles were not available.
He said operators in the top half of the North Island were also refusing to help police.
Coster agreed that there had been some reluctance by tow companies to be involved...
Police are in touch with the Defence Force with a view to them helping with the removal operation...
Police said they would hold on to the vehicles they removed and probably the courts would decide what happened in terms of them being returned to their owners...

Any tow truck company that tows a truck away from the protest might as well start selling off their assets because they are going out of business once word gets out.

The photo above was taken in Canberra on Saturday, February 12, 2022 as ordinary Australians protested outside Parliament House against vaccine mandates. Note the head gear worn by some officers, and either the headphones or ear muffs worn by the officer closet to the device...
In a meeting of the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee held this week at Parliament House, PHON Senator for Queensland Malcolm Roberts asked Federal Police Commissioner Reece Kershaw if the LRAD’s were used against protesters on 12/2/2022...
Kershaw looked extremely uncomfortable and said he’d get back to him.
It’s pretty obvious that they were used. The devices pictured look exactly like those from a 2016 article by the ABC which revealed that Australian Federal Police had indeed bought the weapon...
The AFP have the weapon, they were pictured outside Parliament House, wearing earplugs, and were pictured with a weapon that looks exactly like an LRAD. No wonder Kershaw looked like he wanted to get out of there in a hurry...
So there you have it. The Australian Federal Police are using a military grade weapon on ordinary people who refuse to inject poison into their bodies. This should be the biggest news story in the country, but naturally the Lying Press are ***silent on this matter...
