Ironically, Catholics for years thought of EWTN as an awesome example of Catholic outreach in the middle of a den of Protestants (it's based in Birmingham, Alabama, with Alabama having a very high Protestant population, I think 70%).
EWTN didn't change, the Vatican did. It's not the Protestants trying to force the Catholics to quit being Catholics. It's the commie pope.
