St. Francis of Assisi was indeed a true prophet.

I do not think it was by change that Bergoglio chose the name Francis to take advantage of the popularity of St. Francis and to pervert St. Francis love of the animals, into pantheism. Satan is very sly.
Pope Benedict XVI INVITED CARDINAL BIFFI TO OFFER THE ANNUAL LENTEN RETREAT for the Pope and the top members of the Vatican (Feb. 27, 2007). The cardinal speaks often on the theme of the Antichrist. The Times of London reported in 2004 that the Cardinal described the Antichrist as “walking among us”. “Days will come in Christianity in which they will try to reduce the salvific event to a mere series of values.” It is a key passage in the last work of Vladimir Soloviev, “Tale of the Antichrist”, at the center of Cardinal James Biffi’s reflections. The Russian philosopher, who died in the year 1900 with great acumen, had prophesied the tragedies of the 20th century. In the “Tale of the Antichrist”, recalled the cardinal, “THE ANTICHRIST PRESENTS HIMSELF AS PACIFIST, ECOLOGIST AND ECUMENIST. He will convoke an ecumenical council and will seek the consensus of all the Christian confessions, granting something to each one. The masses will follow him, with the exception of small groups of Catholics, Orthodox and Protestants who will resist and will say to the Antichrist: ‘You give us everything, except what interests us, Jesus Christ’.” For Cardinal Biffi, this narrative is a warning: ‘Today, in fact, we run the risk of having a Christianity which puts aside Jesus with his cross and resurrection’. - Read the articles that you can find in my index (https://josephdwight.wordpress.com/2015/09/21/joseph-dwight-index/), in particular: “Satan Will Recruit The False Prophet From Our Catholic Bishops”.

I also do not think it was by chance that God gave to St. Francis a prophecy before he died, since Bergoglio is using St. Francis for Masonic goals.
Prophecy St Francis
THE “PROPHECY” OF SAINT FRANCIS:

Shortly before he died (1226), St. Francis of Assisi called together his brothers and warned them of future tribulations, saying:

1. Brothers act with strength and firmness in waiting for the Lord. A period of great tribulations and afflictions in which great dangers and temporal and spiritual discomforts will occur; the charity of many will grow cold, and the malice of the wicked will abound.

2. The power of the demons will be greater than usual, the immaculate purity of our religious community and of others, will withered to the point that very few Christians will want to obey the true Sovereign Pontiff and the Roman Church with a sincere heart and perfect charity. At the decisive moment of this crisis, a personage not canonically elected, raised to the Pontificate, will endeavor to administer shrewdly to many the mortal poison of his error.

3. While the scandals will multiply, our religious congregation will be divided among others which will be completely destroyed, because their members will not oppose but will consent to error.

4. There will be such diversity of opinions and divisions among the people and among the religious and the clergy that if those evil days were not shortened, as foretold by the Gospel, even the elect would fall into error (if possible) (Mt 24:24), if in such a storm they were not protected by the immense mercy of God.

5. Then our Rule and our manner of life will be violently attacked by some. Terrible temptations will arise. Those who will overcome the great trial will receive the crown of life. Woe to the lukewarm ones who will place all of their hope in the religious life, without firmly resisting the temptations permitted for the proving of the elect.

6. Those who in spiritual fervor will embrace piety with charity and zeal for the truth, will suffer persecutions and insults as if they were schismatics and disobedient. Because their persecutors, urged on by the evil spirits, will say that in this way they render a great honor to God in killing and removing from the face of the earth such pestilent men. But the Lord will be the refuge of the afflicted and He will save them, because they hoped in Him. And then in order to respect their Head, they will act according to the Faith and they will chose to obey God rather than men, gaining for themselves eternal life; they will fear nothing, and they will prefer to die rather than consent to error and perfidy.

7. Some preachers will keep silent about the truth and, denying the truth, they will trample upon the truth. The sanctity of life will be held in derision by those who only profess it outwardly, and for this reason Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a worthy Pastor, but a destroyer.

I, Father Joseph Dwight, translated this document from an Italian translation in November 2013 (http://www.agerecontra.it/public/press20/?p=12166).

One can also find another translation in English: “Works of the Seraphic Father St. Francis Of Assisi”, Washbourne, 1882, p. 248. (http://twoheartspress.com/uncategorized/st-francis-prophecy-of-the-false-pope/).
