The RCMP are a FEDERAL policing agency. Only NL, QU and ON have their own Provincial Police departments. The Mounties provide ‘Provincial’ policing and, in some cases, municipal policing in the other Provinces, and technically answer to the respective Provincial legislatures.
All that said, the Commissioner of the RCMP answers to the FEDERAL Government and is, just as MOST other senior bureaucrat, going to pucker up and kiss the ass of her master, Prime Mistake True-dolt of PRC (Politically Repressive Canada).
The hatred between True-dolt and Kenney is palpable, so the RCMP throwing him under the semi, is not unexpected. Kenney was quite conservative for decades and, in fact, was heading toward getting rid of ALL restrictions on several occasions, but then flip-flopped each time. Then, he also charged and JAILED all those Pastors!
My guess is that True-dolt has something HEAVY over Alberta Oberführer Kenney, to force him to toe the line. Given that he is single, and in over 20 years of public life, there has NEVER been even a HINT of a woman in his life, other than mama, one can guess is a homosexual or something REALLY BAD! (Don’t know if he every visited Epstein’s Island.)
Provincially mandated election must be held BEFORE May 31, 2023. That said, there is a ‘leadership review’ scheduled on April 9, 2022. Chances are not especially great that he’ll get tossed by the Conservatives. Remember, discontent with him is focused mostly in the rural ridings, NOT Calgary or Edmonton.
I belong to a separatist Provincial party, but I do have concerns that a strong showing, could split the vote and let the communists, er, ‘socialists’ (New Democratic Party) return to power.

About six decades ago I had a gov’t drivers license that said I could drive anything with wheels or tracks-—and did. But there ain’t many of us and even fewer who graduated to paper-pushing for the alphabets.
I didn’t know that NL had their own—but as they were an independent country until 1949, that makes sense.

Kenney is from Ontario and was dropped into Alberta by Harper. Don’t put an Easterner in charge of a Westerner.
Kenney is almost certainly Opus Dei—which explains no woman without any hint of homosexuality (I’ve had a couple of conversations with him, years ago, and know a number of people who know him—including a former student who was serving as a sort of executive assistant to him). This, along with being an easterner, largely serves to explain why he flips all over the place. Ford is almost as bad, but as Ontario is east, it doesn’t get ticked. Kenney has two populist parties to the right and almost certainly will get his clock cleaned between now and three days after the next election.
O’Toole being turfed today is further writing on the wall.

What they don’t seem to realize is that when Albertans (or at least the ones who didn’t come from ‘shipthole’ in the last decade) change, they change EN MASSE!
For decades, the ‘Social Credit Party’ governed in Alberta (1935-1971). Then the Conservative came to power and remained until 2015. They became quite corrupt, and the straw that broke the camel’s back, was that they called an early election, thinking they could get a majority. MANY Albertans said, “NUTS” and stayed home on election day. The socialist NDP, even more surprised than the CONservatives, won a majority. In four years they did more damage than can be imagined! Kenney became leader of the CONs in 2017 and won with a HUGE majority in 2019.
Kenney’s passed off SO MANY Albertans, he couldn’t even be elected as garbage man (if there were such an election.) I can only hope and pray that Albertans move en masse to the Wildrose Independence Party soon! We don’t need a split vote letting the commies back in.
A HUGE number of truckers are INDO-Canadians! Sikhs are a HUGE presence in ‘professional driving jobs in PRC (Politically Repressive Canada).

That be me! I don’t however, have ANY desire to be a politician! Unlike a pol, I know what I know, and I know that a GREAT MANY know a GREAT DEAL more about a GREAT MANY THINGS than I do.
Not being RC, I don’t know anything about ‘Opus Dei’. What I do know is that since he went to Catholic school and spent a year ar a US Catholic college, he should be WELL aware of what Jesus said about ‘swearing an oath’ in Matthew 5. When he said that Alberta was ‘open for good’ he swore to God three times.
I have doubts that Kenney believes in God, other than himself as God.
Opus Dei is a Catholic outfit founded in Spain during the Civil war-—they are kind of like Catholic Mormons, but with loads of them being celibate, and not being messed up theologically (from a Catholic perspective), at least on paper. That said, when it is time to be principled, they will generally try to be “right” but not “too far to the right” because its important to fit in. I think that a legacy of the Civil War. THey have some good folks and publish a lot of good books.
You certainly could have worse people two trenches over, but they wouldn’t be my top pick to share a foxhole with.
