I heard the same from mr. mm.
I fry up bacon, take it out and put it aside then stir fry the Brussel sprouts in the bacon grease and about 10 mins later add some onion and finish cooking. Then I add the bacon chunks back in.
He told me that if he had Brussel sprouts like that as a kid, he would have liked them.
Add a little lemon juice and take them over the top.
