What matters is loss of sales. I suspect that’s why he’s getting jittery. I am sure a lot of people just delete his emails upon arrival while still remaining subscribed. But they no longer purchase now.

I doubt seriously if they’d be squealing like this over a net 3% loss. Thing is, the business lost was repeat customers, so they better hope the “new” 30,000 aren’t just one-time virtue signalers. If they’re even real.
This guy has a store in Delafield WI which is a conservative area. Traffic is non existent and I believe he stuck the store there as a middle finger to conservatives in Waukesha CO.

IIRC the New World was discovered as a result of the Europeans trying to find a direct route to the Indies.
Trade from the East was through Italy and the Italians were growing fat off the spice, silk and the trade of other commodities. At that time good spices were probably more valuable than gold, certainly more valuable than silver. If the western European nations could find their own route to the spices then the prices would fall.
