A Congress elected in November won’t get sworn in until early January. So that gives the Democrats almost a year to cause mischief, mayhem, and other nasty stuff.

This is similar to a scenario I’ve been predicting for awhile, except that I hadn’t thought of the SCOTUS appointment being as a manner in which Kamala would be removed from her VP slot (though at this point the puppetmasters are likely to be grasping at straws), and I don’t think Hillary would be her likely replacement. I suspect she’s viewed as damaged goods and not a team player. More likely would be someone seen as more experienced and statesmanlike, such as John Kerry, who, after taking the Oval Office, would make his own radical left VP pick who checks a suitable number of diversity boxes.
in this scenario, Clinton would need to be confirmed by senate. there would be no VP to break a 50-50 tie. so the VP office can remain vacant.
however...……………..

I don’t think they are going to get 50 D’s to vote to confirm Harris, maybe 48 or 49, but not 50 - what exactly are her qualifications for the SC?

At least 10 Democratic Senators would call ‘foul’ on Harris as a nominee and refuse to vote. I will admit that Biden is stupid enough to suggest this, but the folks managing him aren’t going to agree to this idea.
