An earlier poster suggested that the accompanied Shopper examine every single item for expiry date, freshness, package damage, Etc, before selecting it. That ought to drive the store manager crazy and his overtime costs thru the roof

Pull a stunt like that and any competent manager would simply order you to leave his store. As manager he doesnt even have to give you a reason. It is his right as primary agent of the property owner to decided who stays and who must go at anytime for any reason. Disobey and please do because the cops will show up arrest the now trespasser and issue a TRO to not return to the property until after the trespassing court date ar which time the property owner can request a lifetime tresspass RO against the parry who is being a throne in their side. You have little recourse against such legal action in the USA if you are a protected class and can prove the removal from the property or denial of service was due to ome of the protected attributes of the civil rights act that would be an avenue of recompense otherwise you will pay the fine and likely be banned from that property for life. Second offenses carry jail time 12+ months in some places. A business owner has the plenary rights here not the consumer.

Only it’s not Walmart’s fault and ALL retailers have to comply or face fines and closure.

It’s the Government’s doing.

You might say “So what let Walmart close.”
The problem with that is people rely on Walmart for their food and prescriptions.

In some locations, Walmart is the largest retailer and largest employer with the entire community relying on Walmart.

I never understood the blame and hate Walmart first crowd.

Walmart and it’s associates remained opened during the early days of this pandemic when no one what we were dealing.
The bravely stocked the shelves and showed to work realizing that they will be exposed to an unknown virus.

The truckers are hero’s, as well as where the truckers were taking their loads to, Walmart and other retailers.
