LOL! Talk about reading into a movie what you wish it was about. I don’t think Jennifer Lawrence, Leo DiCaprio and Merryl Streep think they’re in a movie about spiraling deficits. Pretty sure they thinks they’re in a movie about very drastic climate change.

Also, heavy-handed moralizing, satire that feels the need to wink at you, message-driven plots all spell painfully annoying movies, even when you agree with them.

Seriously, what was the author of this piece smoking? The movie was an allegory for the inaction on the “climate change crisis.” That's well known.
