There will be 32 pairs from the '50s to compare. 32 songs will emerge as the winners of this round. Any ties will have a run-off.

The vote is simply: which of each pair is better? No answer, no vote.

Please vote on as MANY pairs as possible! However, it is not required in order to “complete” the survey. You can do as many pairs as you like.

See pairs in my next reply post.

The survey is at 1950s survey - top 64

TOURNAMENT OF CHART-TOPPERS 1950S PING LIST

(This is a temporary ping list, so don’t worry it won’t last forever!)

Here are the pairs. Please see start of thread for Round 2 rules!

Again, the survey is here: 1950s survey – top 64

****PLEASE NOTE: Once you start the survey, you must finish it or it will not let you complete (earlier, I mistakenly thought the free version lets you continue later). Not all pairs must be picked, however. If you have a problem with this, and did not finish, PM me and I can search for your IP address and delete your attempt so you can start again.

My YouTube Playlist covers ALL these songs but is really in order of year/rank, not paired up as these below.

Most were an easy choice, but a few were tougher.

Mid-week summary update:

We've had up to 30 replies, so still pretty good and up to par from Round 1.

Several tight races so far.
They include a tie for Hey There, vs Hernando's Hideaway!
The other tight races are between Memories are Made of This vs Kansas City, Harbor Lights vs. Cherry Pink, and TN Waltz vs. Personality.

A bunch of races seem to be run-aways, but don't be discouraged regardless!
The biggest run-away now seems to be "Tequila" all over "Here in My Heart".
