I was involved in swimming for years. I swam in college and I coached. What most people do not realize here is how really pathetic Thomas is as a swimmer. Every article points to smashing records in some way. Those records are Ivy League records. Those records are women's records. In all honesty those records do not mean jack schiff. Thomas would get his ass kicked by the top 13-14 year old boys in this country. He's a pathetic swimmer against little boys. He certainly couldn't even compete against men in little Ivy League swimming programs. There really is no comparison between Thomas and swimmers from top NCAA Div 1 programs that send teams (not a swimmer or two) to US Nationals (non-collegiate) and the Olympic trials. That goes for both men's and women's programs.

The reason I point this out is to set a base line of what a failure Thomas is as a swimmer. So he takes hormones to dominate rather average women's swimmers in the Ivy League. I'm not taking away from women swimming in Ivy League programs. Those girls go to swim and have fun knowing that they will never be top tier athletes. There is nothing wrong with that. There are a lot of life lessons to be learned when competing at that level.

Thomas has chosen to compensate for his extreme lack of talent by competing against women who lack talent. In all his selfishness he hurts the women he so wants to be. They don't want him. He will never been a woman. He will never be even a decent swimmer, even against women. He will never be a good person. This guy is really messed up in the head and belongs in a mental institution. The same goes to all those that think changing one's gender can be done with surgery and hormones. There should be zero tolerance for these pieces of shit. That begins with ridiculing and abusing this entire movement.

The media is complicit in all this. I have yet to see one article that points out what a failure Thomas is. All it has been about smashing records that mean zero, nada, nothing. Then a mention of how it hurts women's sports. That's the disconnect. Nothing good (smashing Ivy records) should be highlighted as it partly motivates other mentally deranged to do the same as if it was some great achievement. In all honesty, being a great athlete is not a great achievement. There are so many more things more important in life. Sports have a place in life, but it they shouldn't be life.

I was a pretty good ocean swimmer. Decided to see what I could do in the pool at the local Junior college. My fifty yards was two seconds behind the record. Two seconds is a lifetime. I think even the fastest woman beat my measly 24 seconds.

This guy should know better and just leave women to compete. This is destroying womens sports and as you said, they’re happy to get scholarships to schools and show their ribbons and medals to their family and friends.

It’s a tragedy what is happening. I remember the East German and Russian teams including the old Chinese teams but I think that’s the past? Now America plays the steroid/gender thing? It’s bad all around
