Let me relate a sad and humorous exchange I had with a woman on a friend’s Facebook page.
This woman had posted a meme indicating that 80% of women on college campuses were sexually assaulted or raped. I asked her for a source to FBI statistics rather than a picture that someone made on their computer. She got very pissed.
Now here’s where it gets funny. I told her that I thought all responsible women should train and carry. Keyword responsible. She went bonkers and said that that obviously I wanted irresponsible women to get raped.
If you’ve ever tried to have a logical dialogue with a person who is mentally ill, then you understand why a friend of mine says that liberalism is a mental illness.
Exactly. The reason you added “irresponsible” to the equation hit a “bias driven” firewall to her brain.
