Restoring credibility for a failing administration, by getting involved in a war with a nuclear armed country with a modern military is not only insane it’s incredibly dangerous.

I suspect Ukraine launders USA foreign aid through private businesses, like Burisma, who then find creative ways to kick back 10% or 20% to the senior American politicians who guide the aid through Congress and the White House.
As I have said before, there are two surefire ways for an administration to regain a majority of the electorate’s support.
1) Foreign country commits a large aggressive action against the US. ie: Pearl Harbor or 9/11.
2) A Presidential State funeral. ie: JFK’s funeral.
While I seriously doubt Dimjo can be convinced to having a go at a state funeral, I have no doubt there may be something that can be ginned up to blame the Russians for. Why do I think it will be the Russians? Simply because, they are a former Superpower that has fallen on hard times and could only win, if the Defense Dept. committed to land war and I do not think even this woke bunch is that stupid.
But possibly, hope fully even without Dimjo’s knowledge, the puppet-masters in the Administration are planning on that State Funeral.
Russia needs to send troops to Cuba—set up an airbase or Naval station—targeting the USA. Lets get the fear ginned up. How about sending Bear Bombers to visit Cuba and help that island nation? Fly right past Washington DC? Let Biden know this will not be a limited TV war but the Real Thing. How about have Assad order all US troops out of Syria? ASK Russia to push them out? Ask for UN help to expel the unwelcome Americans. Close off the oil lanes/ Demand that Taiwan give up an Island so the Chinese could put in a radar station—For safe Air travel—Just one island? Or give Iran help to set off a Nuke Test?
They want to use Americans in the military as cannon fodder to divert attention.

In the end, after all the posturing kabuki theatre, Putin will get what he wants because Western Europe wants it too. Germany wants their natural gas pipeline from Russia and no way does continental Western Europe want to be on the hoof to defend Ukraine. Hell, they don’t even want to defend themselves! And, thus, they would be more than happy to give Putin a back door guarantee that they will not admit Ukraine to NATO. And, even if they did, good luck on getting Germany or anyone else there to defend them. That is the US job under their one way NATO one (the US) for all and none for one NATO posture. The ultimate joke is when they admitted Turkey to NATO. Who, in their right mind, believes either Turkey or Western Europe will defend each other.
