Good things to think about, but, the author goes back and forth, too much.

I wish I could put a double-wide on the property and get down there as fast as I can. The other thing I want to build on the property is a 40’ x 60’ steel barn.

That price went from about $75,000 to $135,000 from Oct 2020 to July 2021.

The plan was to pay cash for the barn and the NH home would be equal or greater than the FL home ... that dream is no more as the home prices in NH took a nose dive during the end of the summer 2021.

Lottery tickets are the only hope.

My brother JUST put up a new double-wide on an acre+ on the lake here in TN. They unloaded the moving truck yesterday. He plans to put up some kind of pole barn later on.

When he got the lot a couple years ago it was valued at $13K. In the closing papers, the lot’s value was $40.

That’s sweet.

Even though my property is in the middle of the boonies in the Okeechobee area, they have a Home Owner Association and the rule is 1,600+ sq.ft. house.

Double wides in Florida seem to always be the target of hurricanes.

As a follow-up to not realizing how much stuff you have, DOWNSIZE before you start packing. The more stuff you're not using that you get rid of, the less stuff you have to pack and move.

If it hasn't fit you in a while, it probably won't again anytime soon.

If it's been waiting to get fixed, you're not using it and you don't need it (or you've already replaced it), and it's not going to get fixed anytime soon.
