Along with the Electoral College (which prevents tyranny of larger states over smaller ones by forcing POTUS to run everywhere not just in big cities in a few states) the Senate Filibuster (which prevents tyranny of the majority) proves we are a Constitutional (or Representative) Republic and NOT a ‘democracy’[SIC] (which is two wolves and a lamb voting on what is for lunch). Also 327 times in 2021 Democrats used the filibuster they now call racist.
why do we have two houses of congress?
In a bicameral format, one house represents the citizens. And the other represents the individual states.
