My PAC lousy 12 went 0-5 in bowl games. 😫
I was betting on Covid. I had $20 on the Bearcats.
Look at the five bowl games on January 1. Every one of them was won by the team whose campus was further south than the other team's campus.
I grew up in Oregon, and remain nominally an Oregon State fan, but my “Pac-10 Loyalty” reaches only extends as far as Washington State and, to a much lesser extent, Washington.
The only college team that may be lower on my list than Oregon is Notre Dame (I’m professedly Catholic, unlike Notre Dame’s theology department). I have southern sympathies (though now located in Canada), and have been pulling for Alabama for about two decades, and generally think that the SEC should be allowed to supplant the NFL
I think that the top two non-SEC teams should play in a quarterfinal, with the winner to play the winner of the SEC title game in one semi-final, and the loser of the SEC title game to play the second place team from the other division in the other quarterfinal.
If Clemson and Notre Dame join the SEC, I’d be open to foregoing the quarterfinal, and simply awarding a semi-final berth to the big-10 champion.
I think both that the spread is about right and, with you, that it is going to be a great game.
So how is Georgia a 2.5 point favorite?
