The human brain is subject to structural...and chemical...disorders just as is any other part of the body.A chemical imbalance in the brain can lead to may bad things...including suicide. And huge,unexpected setbacks (like the death of a spouse) can lead to suicide. Sometimes the suicide can be a lingering one (no energy,no sleep,no food,etc) and sometimes a sudden one.
