Thanks for the statistic!
I’m seeing these articles once or twice a day now.
I am done looking at it tonight... but I have 72 soccer related deaths, with 48 of those under the age of 30. Also I have 76 heart issues, 66 were cardiac arrests, 2 arrhythmias and 3 myocarditis...
I have about 100 more to go through but I’m wiped out tonight. Hopefully I’ll have an updated list tomorrow.
Oh, and I am not including sports injuries, concussions, heat exhaustion, etc. just sudden unexplained collapses and/or deaths - by far the most are cardiac (across all sports), and a few strokes and seizures.
RE: Hopefully I’ll have an updated list tomorrow.
Please, do post what you have on this thread. I and many others would be interested to know, and at the risk of being annoying, please do not include those who died because of sports related injuries. Thanks.
This is my last updated list, but I have about 100 that will be added and updated, some reclassified. My list doesn’t just include athletes, I am pulling the athlete stats from the list:

Sports doesn’t seem completely worth the risk and effort these days. I feel sorry for these youth - they are very trusting of “the system” and very obedient to it. RIP
Thank you so much for your effort! You make me feel like a real slacker! :P
Their conclusions should be treated with caution. They provide no direct links to the data sets they were using as the basis for their claims.
