There is an EXCELLENT British BBC 8 part series "The Adventure of English" (2002) and # 3 covers Wycliffe, Tyndale and the creation of the English Language Bible. Very informative of what they did and what they suffered for this epic effort.

John Wycliffe 1340s-1400, survivor of the 1st Black Death plague, Cleric & Oxford Scholar, Translator, thorn of/to the Established Church, creator of the itinerant Lollards and, thus, a father to modern English. This episode has an excellent voice actor reading Wycliffe's and other versions of Genesis and the host/narrator Melvyn Bragg is excellent.
