Even with the unrealistic family interactions it’s still very nostalgic.
Of course it isn't realistic . . . it's television, in every era. The people on "Friends" have unrealistically swanky digs for their income. Every crime/legal/medical drama has a star character who runs into an extremely unrealistic number of innocent clients who look guilty (Perry Mason, Matlock,Quincy) and a ridiculous number of unusually creative murders (Columbo).

Yes, of course.
I didn’t want to expound on the point - that THAT is the primary reason liberals put down the classic 50s and early 60s series.
Television is unrealistic. Even reality TV is far far from real.
