How can someone with the resources to even begin such a project be so stupid the actually think of it in the first place? I just planted 133,000 pine trees. Each one is a C02 eating, oxygen producing factory. Where are my government climate credits?

Give your congressman a call and tell them to research the issue for you. They’ll send your request to the Congressional Research Service and return their response back to you.
Make sure you push the congressman’s office for this and try to quantify the benefits of your planting project. Also let them know you have a big network of like minded land owners who are interested and following your project.
Oh, and ask to speak with either the chief of staff or legislative director. Otherwise some college intern will crank out a meaningless form letter for you.
Keep a detailed log of every communications. Call the DC office first; they may re-direct you to the district office but that’s OK. Stick with it and keep pushing for results.
