Once these vaccines are released, from therapeutics and other homeopathic elements, the Left will have egg on their collective faces.

Assuming COVID goes away, there is little long term risk to Trump should he decide to run for President in 2024. His possible opponents are RINOs like Chris Christie and Liz Cheney, who will likely fail in the early primaries. I don't see Ted Cruz running, as he will have to defend his Senate seat in Texas in 2024. Any conservative running against Trump would be the equivalent of John Ashbrook, an Ohio congressman who ran in the GOP primaries against Nixon in 1972 because the latter abandoned conservative principles on issues such as budget deficits, affirmative action, the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency, wage and price controls, and recognition of Red China. Ashbrook was handily defeated in the primaries and withdrew from the race. If COVID persists into 2023 and 2024 with multiple variants and continued pressure for mandatory shots, then Trump would be in trouble as a large part of his base is anti-vax because they don't trust the political, media, and medical establishments.

In any case, I think Trump will see how the 2022 elections turn out before deciding whether to run in 2024.
