There is no doubt that Obama is running the country, continuing his “Fundamental Transformation” of America. First president, maybe ever, to remain in DC post presidency. Why?
You make a valid point, but where else would he go?
He was made up, out of whole cloth. A nobody used by folks far more wealthy and powerful than he could ever dream. What city could he go to where he would be received the same way? Chicago, LA, NYC? When it comes to money and power, all the book advances in the world wouldn’t allow him to touch the bigwigs in the financial or entertainment industry.
Hell, look at what the people of Chicago are doing to him. The most popular guy EVER has been getting pushback from Chicago for his idiotic library. If he was so loved one would think they’d be happy to have it.
Last year, during the election he finally got out on the campaign trail for CornPop. Who showed up to hear him speak? Hardly anyone.
Years ago, I was a detective in a Fugitive Unit. We went after the folks wanted for violent crimes. One would think that if someone executed a guy, that the next day they’d be gone. Another state or at least another part of the state. NOPE. These guys can’t leave their comfort zones. Some would run, but they wouldn’t last long. We’d find out that they had family in the southern part of the state, Alabama, Mississippi, etc. Country folk. These inner city guys couldn’t last down there, so eventually they’d end up coming right back home. Either that, their attitude would be so bad that they’d get rolled up in these small towns, where law enforcement was a bit “different” than the big city or someone in the family would snitch on them, just to get rid of them.
Soetero isn’t any different. He has no friends. He has folks that use him as a means to an end. But, he’s ok with that, as it enriches him and the money and adulation is all he cares about.
