When this first happened, several other freepers mentioned that this Italian manufactured reproduction gun came in two versions. The first version was exactly like the original gun, which had no safety "half cock" notch. In this version of the gun, the hammer will fall all the way if you pull it back almost to the cocked position.
The second version of the gun incorporated the later added safety notch to prevent the gun from firing without pulling the trigger.
For some reason other freepers didn't get the memo and continue to claim that you can't do that with this particular model of gun.
Well it depends on which version of the gun Baldwin had, doesn't it?
