The British Army is introducing an advanced GNA system with the slogan "Interception and Destruction", the SKY SABER system, which is unprecedented in the speed of operation, accuracy and ability to acquire targets.

The system consists of three parts:
- A three-dimensional radar that intercepts at 360 degrees up to a range of 120 km.

- A state-of-the-art computer system that connects the radar, interception missiles and "Channel 16" which is a tactical communication and data transmission channel that also allows the exchange of information with Royal Navy ships.

- A third component is interception missiles which is capable of intercepting fighter jets, such as UAVs and laser-guided smart bombs.
Each launcher has eight interceptor missiles and several missiles can be launched simultaneously and in several directions. The government reports that the performance of the new system is better on several levels compared to those of the previous GAP system RAPIER.
