The numbers are what they are.

Only where it mattered.
Iowa 2020 forestalled this play by moving the mail ballot drop boxes onto property controlled by and under surveillance of the county people.
The Dems STILL stole an Iowa US House seat, and almost got another one.
You may recall the kerfluffle over Mariannette Miller-Meeks' 6-vote win in the 2nd Iowa CD. It only got that close because of the vote rigging - not "never-Trumpers".
Trump had Iowa sewed up - and he also had Nebraska sewed up.
That's why your never-Trump theory in NE is lame. The only point was to sneak in and grab an unguarded electoral vote.
Never-Trump doesn't do numbers well. They just vote against Trump. The DNC, however, makes their vote calculations to the nth degree.
