We used to have a few local Italian places that made their own Italian Ice, or granita, as we called it. It was THE BEST.
Now all I can find is the stuff in the freezer case at the store. Not the same.🙁

The freezer stuff is like a popsicle in a cup. Where in Illinois are you? Northside Chicago had a great stand that was open in the summer months. LIne went down the street.
