OUCH! WashPost Excoriates Dems for ‘Worst Defense of the Biden Administration Yet’

The Washington Post ripped the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s self-own for trying to garner praise for President Joe Biden for a paltry drop in gas prices.

The DCCC tweeted out a graph which appeared to show a significant drop in gas prices. The DCCC captioned its tweet: “Thanks, @JoeBiden.” But the DCCC was being either very misleading or displaying complete ineptitude. Upon closer examination, the graph actually showed only a drop of — wait for it — two cents around the last two weeks of November ($3.40 → $3.38). Liberal Post national correspondent Philip Bump headlined his write-up of the tweet: “This might be the worst defense of the Biden administration yet.” The sub-headline was likely just as painful for Bump: “You’re not helping, DCCC.”

F Joe is panicked by bad polls. His admin has kicked off a PR campaign to spin every issue as a success, no matter how implausible the explanation.

What a joke, and the Dems haven’t thought this through. What Joe did cannot persist in the long run...it’s a blip in distillate fuel prices. If he’s serious about helping Americans get to work and otherwise move about the country, including the distribution cost of moving products throughout the US, he needs to reinstate the Keystone Pipeline and make leases on offshore and federal lands more available. Anything less is a band aid on a gaping wound.

Gas prices go up = Not Biden’s fault because the President doesn’t control gas prices.

Gas Prices drop = Thanks Joe!!!!

The chat is as deceitful as they come with the Y-axis starting nowhere near zero. I’m surprised they didn’t set the max value of the Y-axis to 3.400 to exaggerate it even more.

The old ‘manipulate the range’ charting scam. Just because there are big moves on a graph is meaningless until you see what values are being shown. Thus this graph amply demonstrates the DNCC’s desire to manipulate the news-line here!

Note that the DNCC / Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is very much responsive to the most powerful Democrat in the US Congress, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Oops in the above I meant DCCC not DNCC but it was an easy mistake. Sorry!

This is a classic case of where the topic itself is toxic for the Democrats.

The damage has been done.

The word “gas prices” is a live grenade for them—the details are irrelevant.

The article is written by the Washington Compost and they write the wrong things about folks and mostly Republicans.

Bezos Post is trying to win back a bit of credibility, after the media went completely of the charts with their lies, spin and propaganda for the past few years.

This and the Russia collusion corrections is an attempt to appear unbiased. Who would take your "news" articles seriously if you have established yourself as a BS provider?!

If the media did their job, Americans would be better informed about the fustercluck this administration put us in. I don’t blame the leftists. That’s what they do. I blame the people the constitution gave oversight to.

My theory is that the Obama retreads became used to the media being able to cover for them and to trumpet anything even remotely positive as being a triumph. This is because a substantial part of the populace was duped into thinking that he was brilliant, transformative, eloquent, etc. the hacks expect the media to be able to do the same magic for them now, but Bidens decline is so evident, and his failures so colossal, whitewashing just isn’t possible

It’s astonishing how incompetent the whole crew is. It would be laughable except that they are currently running this country.
