Conservatives were pushing hard for this DA to face charges, such as violating peoples rights.
It is very difficult to do, because the Supreme Court gave prosecutors absolute (or near absolute) immunity in the 1970-s to 1980's.
People pushed hard for Governor Walker to push back against the lawlessness of Chisolm, but Walker and the Republicans in the Wisconsin legislature were too afraid of the Media to do anything.
They let it slide.
