Good point. No Europeans crossing. But I’d be very concerned if I lived in Europe right now. Europe is heading for another major downturn (in my opinion). Maybe there will be a few Europeans crossing the southern border... if there is still an America — we have our own issues too.

When my ancestors came to America, there wasn’t a welfare state welcoming them with unlimited “free” stuff.

My ancestors had to work. But they were used to having nothing and they were used to very hard work. After all, they survived living in Europe under dictators and owning nothing and then there was the hardship of the long trip to the United States. They were hearty folks. Tough because they had to be. I wish I were as strong and resourceful as they were.

True, there were enclaves and communities in cities and ports that maintained the home cultures and languages. But the new immigrants wanted to be American. They were proud to be American. That is why, I never heard my grandfather speak German nor Swedish although he spoke it fluently. We were in America and we spoke English.

Anyway, I hope that these new immigrants have the same attitude and drive as my ancestors did but I am concerned that they don’t. They are drawn by the “free stuff” that Democrats are offering to them and I am concerned that they don’t come to work and work hard and contribute but to sit on their rears and take the free stuff that the welfare state offers.

The Europeans are more accustomed to hardships than spoiled Americans are. They will weather the coming storm better because of their homogeneity and there will be less social unrest(or do think that our strength is in our diversity like the lefties claim?)
