Problem is most “Americans” don’t understand the bigger picture of high gas prices. I’ve heard, “I make enough to afford $10.00 gas”. “I’ll just drive less”. Other such nonsense.
$10.00 gas will have an effect on everything we buy and do. Even if you “can afford” it personally, you will not enjoy what it does to your hard earned money overall.
$3.19 ga in Ohio, it was $1.89 under Trump
Nearly every European Union country has had $3 liter plus petrol for years on top of 20%+ VAT taxes in addition to yearly or monthly Vignette taxes and country specific Vignette taxes when you cross in to a new country to use their roads. So Europe does just fine with $9 plus per gallon petrol and 20+% VAT taxes. Its not the end of the world stop hyperventilating. Europe has plenty of wealthy people as does China another country with high taxes and petrol prices. China has more millionaires is American dollars than does America and they pay out the nose in taxes. Successful people find a way, poor’s will be poors it’s not the system that fails them it is themselves.
