Depends on who they’re revealing them to. If a lot of people go around publicly admitting to, say, infidelity, the effect is to make impressionable others perceive it as ‘not so bad’.
Indiscriminately blabbing out all of your dirty linen is a weakness that will reduce your standing among others.
I have been “red-pilled”
So.. gay, uses drugs, writes blogs.
It sucks being right so often but I can cope.
I even had my coffee & this makes no sense to me.
If I’m understanding correctly, that a grown man had some sort of sexual activity with another grown man, could it be that they find they whole matter rather disgusting? Or is this man openly gay and perhaps “married” to another dude, whom he cheated on?
All I can say is the deliberate vagueness doesn’t allow me to understand what has actually transpired and, yes, it does matter exactly what we are talking about if he’s looking for understanding.
One of the reasons that people are silent is lack of proof.
I was criminally assaulted a few times as a minor.
But I have no evidence for it and except for two cases don’t know the name of the man.
Anyone can say anything. I can say Bill, Ted, and Eric all assaulted me. How can I prove it? What if I am totally lying? How is anyone supposed to know.
In terms of personal relationship, if a trusted friend or family member tells me they were assaulted, I do believe them. But for public justice or trial, you need evidence. Or you have a world where we have death by accusation.
