Putin believes that Ukraine belongs to Russia and wants to formalize that.
I would like to hear, exactly, what people’s objections to Russia controlling the Ukraine are.
Let’s say that Russia took over Ukraine peacefully, with most Ukrainians welcoming it, and their day-to-day lives staying the same or getting better.
What, then, would be the problem?
Just a cold war antipathy towards Russia?
It is a serious question.
Serious answers are welcome.
You mean like how the Ukrainians welcomed the Nazis originally as liberators?
The real story not being printed is that the Europeans want US to resist the Russians, because they fear the Russians. Trump, the guy from NYC, openly observed the obvious stupidity of how the EU has used the US for decades ....how EU wanted access to energy from Russia, but wanted the US to protect them from Russia.
EU ... yeh right ... go soft on the Iranians as well, making the US to be the bad guy.
BTW ... EU hates dealing with the Chinese and are really dependent on them ... guess what the want the US to do there?
Time to cut the cord with the EU. It will change them from socialists to democracy lovers faster than you could imagine.
Substitute England for Russia, and the USA for Ukraine.
See the problem yet?
Ukrainians want to be free and not under Putins rule. They have been fighting a war since 2014. Fifteen thousand people have died with 1.5 million refugees.

Putin Doesn’t want the entire Ukraine. He just wants the eastern, Russian Speaking part, and they would gladly join Russia.
Our relationship with Ukraine goes back 25 years max. Russia’s goes back 300 years.
If Counties in Washington want to join Idaho, or counties in Maryland want to join West Virginia, let them. What is the problem?
