The Virginia election and Republican lessons learned
https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/11/the_virginia_election_and_republican_lessons_learned.html ^

It was reported that the national House Republican Study Committee published a memo listing four takeaways from the Virginia gubernatorial election: Republicans need to support parents, pandemic-related mandates need ending, police need support, and Biden's failing economic policies need opposition.

One of the most promising sentences in the memo was this: "We need to keep hammering away and work on bringing solutions to the table to address their concerns."

Republicans need to make specific promises they will fulfill if returned to power. The worst response will be for Republicans to avoid rolling back progressive fascism and instead just cheerlead from the sidelines and hand out red jerseys. If Republicans don't eliminate programs, offices, agencies, administrations, and departments, then our constitutional rights will continue to be undermined, and progressive fascism will persist to grow even more oppressive later.

The first issue identified supporting parents. This issue stems from government schools propagandizing students with racist Critical Race Theory. Also, schools have been sexualizing children and recruiting them into LGBT sexually deviant behaviors. Defeated Democrat candidate Terry McAuliffe made the mistake of clearly articulating the progressive views that parents have no any say in the education of their children or in selection of textbooks. Parents should be supported by taking all money away from government schools and giving that money to parents to choose where and how to educate their children. If parents don't control the educational dollars, then government schools will continue to lower standards.

My friends this is it. The opportunity now presents itself. It starts with our new Lt. Gov. Winsome taking the lead. It DOES NOT start with the freeper naysayers here who were convinced the rats would steal it again. If Trump can turn around his critics like Cruz/Linda the least you can do is shuddup now.

Granted. Calif. is lost. NJ could have been stolen and leave us with bragging rights-same for the trucker who I think has it. Too many of you have given up. With Trump calling the shots on our nominees I hope you all wake up.

Or, just follow the Trump model: identify the few key issues people really care about and focus relentlessly on them. Law and oder, parental control, stopping illegals, gas prices, and no mandates would be mine.

Parental choice/Covid mandates/cops. This is where the independent and democrat voters look our way. More CRT. More Colin Kapernick. Then there’s the price of gas. How does EVERYBODY not feel it? Fastball over the middle. Trump the kingmaker at arms length worked in Va.

Bigbob u got it.

No government eliminates government programs. It’s all talk - excuses. “Elect more of us, and we’ll sing in harmony.”

Sadly, I fear the GOP will learn no lessons from the Virginia wins and NJ close call. This is especially true of the Quisling (RINO) wing of the party (13 who voted for the inflation causing “infrastructure” bill)... they are as useless as “breeding” mules (country folk will understand).

It’s bound to be a rough ride you are right. There may be false flag political theatrics to mold the populace. I don’t even trust the Republicans any more but the Dems remain downright children of Satan. We have to step back and not get overconfident by what we see and hear on the national ‘stage’. The Dems have cheated again but this time there were more observers and spotlights on individual precincts. It’s going to get more outrageous than it has been concerning manipulation of the populace by the puppet masters. I think the Lord is separating us out and we see some answer to prayer but things are going to continue to go south. We have to keep praying, keep trusting the Lord because he’s right in the middle of it and he has a plan. We should be upbeat and happy and witnessing to people because we are close to the time the Lord is going to take us home, and by our witness many will be saved, even if they miss the first wave of Christians who will be “caught up” into heaven.

We can learn the wrong lessons from 2021 if we do not learn from 2020.

Overall, Republicans did very well in 2020 except for the targeted fraud mostly aimed at the presidential election.

Parents are now a powerful special interest group, and have changed what once was a Dem “strength” (education, always promising more $$ there than the GOP does) and made it a GOP strength.

I’ve removed my teens from public school last year, but parents in my area (a blue area of CA) have woken up—they no longer blindly trust the teachers unions and have realized that parents and students are viewed as the enemy by the district, the school board, and teachers. School board meetings are full now. Parents are fighting back.

Yes: “ Law and oder, parental control, stopping illegals, gas prices, and no mandates would be mine.”

Mine too. I don’t care about “infrastructure” at all. I care about the above issues, and Richard Barris (accurate pollster) says the same. The infrastructure bill passed, but voters don’t care about that topic much—and REALLY don’t care about green energy, etc.

They need to start by saying the spending bill is DOA.

Why don't the Republicans play like the Democrats do when they are the minority.

The Republicans if they do not take advantage of this situation now will be a forever minority player.

The MSM is full of Giant Sixth Grade Brain journalists.

until all the bush league chamber of commerce worshiping republiCAN’Ts are removed from the party, we will continue to have more of the same.

They must be destroyed at all costs..
no more “team player” voting..
they must be politically slaughtered

**************

The sordid history of the GOP gives little reason for optimism. The problem is that the party itself is NOT conservative. The powers that run the party, its core supporters and the party’s DNA help to ensure that it will never change.

It amazes me that, despite the fact that both Reagan and Trump couldn’t change the party, so many people continue to believe it can be reformed. They are in for more disappointment because the main function of the party apparatus is to control people. And they are actually very good at doing it.

What we really need is a new party that stands for something and is willing to fight for it. When something doesn’t work, why keep hoping that it will?

Republicans need to loudly announce the establishment of multiple
official parent-related commissions and agencies......even a Cabinet-level office.

The problem is the GOP is owned and run by the very types of people who need to be removed. Very difficult to do.

Its like trying to reform the Mafia.

There are countless constructive things like this (i.e, your suggestion) the Republicans could, and should do. But they’re not really interested in fighting for things that benefit conservatives.

Think about it...if they were, things would already be a lot different in this country. They simply refuse to fight and that is a huge problem. They do talk a lot, however, especially right before elections.

Yes, push the key issues people care about. And also, relentlessly investigate and prosecute vote fraud. Once people start going to prison, it will be harder to say it doesn’t happen.

The House Republican Study Committee published a memo listing four takeaways from the Virginia gubernatorial election:

A key takeaway is that Biden’s failing economic policies need opposition.

It’s an outrage that Dems and some Repubs gave Biden access to billions of our tax dollars, voting forthe....gag....infrastructure bill.

Biden was desperate for a victory......and the word is Piglosi gave away the store to get votes.

WE DEMAND DETAILS NOW: what is the taxpayers cost to get greedy Democrap votes for the Biden Crime Family Billionaire Enabling Bill
