Wounded Democrats gush blood in the water. Trump lurks just beneath the waves. Democrats are going to need a bigger boat.
Maybe they’ll throw AOC overboard as chum.

We should be heartened, no doubt. However, undue optimism is unwise, it is a victory lap for one simply racist, idiotic, and incompetent Leftist who lost in one place in one time.

There is a rule of thumb in sports:

If you are doing something that your opponent cannot stop, you keep doing it until they prove they can stop it before you change tactics and move on to another set of tactics.

This may not be the best test of whether we can “stop” it, as McAuliffe was a historically stupid and unpalatable candidate.

However, this is the state that contains Northern Virginia, which has appeared over the last few decades to be settling in to the group of places like Cambridge, Ithaca (City of Evil), Madison, and Berkeley. A win there is grand.

But keep in mind, even a place like Massachusetts has an ostensibly Republican governor.

And it isn’t over. They are stretching elections out so that mischief can be engaged in, so until all the ballots (both fake and real) come in and that scum does concede, we cannot say it is over.

But this is a good first step. You cannot overcome fraud twice without first overcoming it once. And we need to repeat this, again and again, everywhere else.

Doing a victory jig is a lot of fun, but if you think this is going to stop Leftists from engaging in fraud, judicial mischief, legislative malfeasance and other avenues, you are going to be disappointed. Even now, while we slap each other on our backs, the Leftist termites are chewing away in every single way they can. This is one setback for them.

Until we aggressively combat the roots of election fraud (a monolithically Leftist endeavor) and publicly investigate, prosecute, and punish those who do it, there is too much at stake both financially and politically for the Left to stop.

I agree with your cautious optimism. I had been wondering in the past few days whether the Democrats would let McAwful be a sacrificial lamb to preserve Congress. Had he won, I suspect the calls for more election integrity laws before the mid-terms would be overwhelming. Now, Dems can argue that election fraud must not be as bad as Pubs insist since their favorite son McAuliffe lost. I will be interested in seeing the Democrats spin in the next few months.

Thanks

I admit, I had not even yet begun to consider this, assuming they don't pull some fraudulent rabbit out of a fraudulent hat in the next day or two...or five...or 14.

What will they do?

and it also shows how incredibly divided this country is.”

Because some states don’t vote for Democrats?

Yes, that is the liberal view. They think that the default situation is that Democrats will win elections. They think of it as an aberration if a Republican wins an election. That’s how they think.

And they think that a Republican winning is divisive, whereas a Democrat winning is just normal or expected, and a sign of unity.

The Democrats probably did counterfeit the same % of votes as in 2020, but it wasn’t enough to win in a race where the Democrat candidate totally blew it.

McAuliffe said that parents shouldn’t be telling schools what to teach. What a dumb-ass thing to say out loud in a campaign. We know the Democrats believe that - but rarely are they dumb enough to say it publicly, and then keep doubling down.

Then you have the DOJ classifying angry parents as domestic terrorists and threatening to sic the FBI of them..

McAuliffe was doomed the minute he made that race about parents vs school boards. They cheated but it wasn’t enough.

But in a Presidential race, the cheaters have a huge advantage because they could focus on a few key Democrat strongholds in the swing states.

For example, let’s say this VA dust up over parents vs school boards had occurred during the 2020 race. Perhaps as a result, Trump would have overcome the cheating in VA, but the Democrats’ focus on the swing states would still allow them to surpass 270.

Good comment, rlmorel. I note that an Asian-American woman was elected to Boston Mayor. Interesting.

Here in our local Georgia election (where we only voted to try to take down a 1% sales tax hike), I noticed that the election machinery and procedures were much better than on election 2020.

That’s a good sign. I think the uproar and a Senate Bill tightening up on things has put the pressure on the local election boards to prove their fairness.

We’ll see.

Sigh. The Boston Mayor thing was predictable.

Female: Check.

Asian (Person of ‘Color’): Check.

Young: Check.

Attractive: Check.

Intelligent: Check (I know this because she took full and deliberate advantage of every facet above)

And she is a Democrat, which means she isn’t worth a cup of warm spit and is an enemy of America.

That said, I am optimistic. Like I said, you can’t stop a thievery until you stop the first thief. Then you work on the next one. And the next one.

It is going to be hard work.

Steve Bannon and crew deserve much credit in this regard.
He has certainly found his niche. ‘Let’s give it up for Steve!’!
Patriots are awakened and will NOT stay silent.

I don’t watch like I should, but 3 cheers to Bannon. He’s uniquely rough around the edges for a conservative commentator, kind like a Joe Rogan.

We need all types of patriots. All are welcome.
