You realize we had had this since the late 1930s. It’s your social security number. India just put it on a chip.

"You realize we had had this since the late 1930s. It’s your social security number. India just put it on a chip."

What is your point, time lends respectability to the theft of taxes to foster government dependence and the natural bonds between family generations? How "conservative" of you to defend communist programs as they age since of course everything that has been around a while must be "conserved" because - reasons!"

At the beginning of the 20th century the deceitful "progressives" were very busy undermining the Republic with communism. We got the 16th Amendment in 1909 thanks to the machinations of Woodrow Wilson before he was president. We got the The Social Security Act of 1935 thanks to communist US President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

I will bet good money that you are already beginning to sing the praises of the Obamacare debacle now that it is over 10 years old.

perhaps, but up until now the Government could not cut you off from society with your SSN....

Think of the things you could be cut off from, traveling, bank accounts, etc...all because your movements and purchases will all be tracked...

Combine a Digital Id with a Digital Currency and you have totalitarian written all over it...

Interesting article here:

https://www.nytimes.com/1998/07/26/weekinreview/the-nation-not-for-identification-purposes-just-kidding.html

In the good old days the leftists actually cared about privacy for workers:

“There was a lot of labor strife in the 1930’s, a lot of employer opposition to unions, and when Social Security numbers were first issued, there was concern that they not be used for blacklisting union organizers.”
