You had to have money to own a slave. You have to feed and house them. I don’t think 25% of southerners were one percenters. It’s funny because the 1860 census is subject to one’s interpretation. I’ve got other things to do.
I live with some black dudes, and every one of them, even the more conservative one, has this weird attitude that everything with them is about racism.
I’ve gotten all 4 to admit that they can’t change their race but they CAN change their outward culture. You can’t change your skin color but you can change your outward culture.
I tell them about the study where a black guy couldn’t get a cab in New York. 4 different guys, all the same size, wore the same suit when they tried to flag down a cab. The white guy had no problem gettin’ a cab, similarly the hispanic and the asian dude. The black guy couldn’t get a cab. This study has been bandied around as PROOF of racism.
But an updated study used a black guy changing from that suit to an India-subcontinent type of outfit, an Africa-type of outfit, a gangbanger type of outfit, and the suit. He had no trouble getting a cab as an India-dude nor as an Africa-dude. He did not change RACES, he changed CULTUREs.
I also use the analogy where you’re interviewing someone to take a job, and all 3 guys have the same [barely adequate] resume, all the same race. One of them has spiked hair, nose rings, and a scowl. The other has tattoos up past his neck, stinks like a bear and interrupts you as you speak. The last guy is mostly clean cut and respectful. You hire the last guy, right? Everyone does. It’s a form of culturism in action.

Hopefully, the Black Americans will realize the elite democrats are the people who really hate Black Americans.
Before it is too late to reverse the terrible impacts on Black Americans from the White Elites.
