It was not a prop…it was a real gun. The media keeps calling it a prop gun which leads the ill-informed to think it was something other that a real gun.

“Prop” in a movie sense, does not mean “fake” or “substitute”. It means a gun used in a simulation, like a movie. All articles used in movies are “props”.
