Further the report underscored they would be "difficult to replace" in the short term. "Some of the employees who are part of the lawsuit have worked for Los Alamos lab for decades... That's an 'understatement'. The security clearances alone for the replacements would take years.

As an aside, I wouldn't want to piss off clever people who design nuclear weapons for a living.
