Government granted immunity to abusive bureaucrats is tyrannical.

There are plenty of conservatives who don’t support qualified immunity and the many abuses it permits.

I don’t know how huge a win it is. Qualified immunity has been established case law for some time. Unless the officer in question knowingly violated the law in the course of their actions then they’re protected from civil suits.

I like cautious LE. Winging it with no regard for damage done has cost society a ton of lives/money. No QI needed in a free society.

I’ve been advocating for the abolition of qualified immunity on this site for over a decade.

Just as was the case with the Nazis the biggest problem with our police today...local,state and Federal...isn't the Privates and Corporals...it's the Generals and Admirals.

Was hoping for natural immunity instead of the vax demand.

Supreme Court is once again protecting union-backed government thugs - if they grant qualified immunity in a given case because the thuggery wasn’t yet established as a Constitutional violation by a Supreme Court ruling, they should actually rule on the fact pattern to say whether it is a violation or not. Right now, the Supreme Court punts on these facts patterns and the thugs can keep thugging thanks to Supreme Court laziness and indifference.
