I carry my smart phone inside a velcro closed Faraday shielded bag. It drives the algorithms mad when it pops up and then goes away. Like I'm a living muted whack-a-mole spanning great distances with no data trails. It's great fun. Try it.

How do you know you’re getting a reaction, which is, presumably, what would make it fun?

I also recommend using a de-googled phone: one that has an alternative Android system. I’m using LineageOS on a Motorola phone, which I installed myself (tricky to do and easy to mess up)

And if one can’t afford a Faraday bag, aluminum foil, while a PITA, works just as well.

That is a good idea

Easy to make. Double warped Aluminum Foil does work the best for a Faraday cage. Simply line it in fabric
