Loving the sinner/but not the sin trope just opens an avenue to excuse sin.

Love the REPENTANT sinner, and castigate the sin is actual Biblical theology.

God loved us while we were yet sinners.

Jesus lived and ate and walked among sinners that He loved and never once excused the sin.

We can, too.
