I think about that every time I hear a modern church leader/pastor talk about global warming, and all the other “this present dark world” issues rather than our personal relationship with our creator and His commands (the ten commandments and Jesus 47 commandments).
I think there is a lot of truth to what you say. As Heiser points out at the beginning of Unseen Realm, it will cause you to read your bible from a completely new paradigm, almost as if it is a different book.
The concept at play here, IMO, is sort of an example of the lesson in bias in this under five minute video which I consider absolute gold for explaining my arguments with humanists, leftists, socialists and even Christians with whom I disagree on some doctrines. It breaks it down to the core issue beautifully:
