And they will continue to remain unanswered because there is no enforcement, accountability or penalties of anyone in government.

As the article states, earlier recourse to this law did obtain the required results:

In August, State Senator Sonny Borrelli used this same law which requires the Attorney General to investigate a potential violation of the law and withhold 10% of state shared funds if the violation is not corrected within 30 days. Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich delivered, forcing the County to settle with The Arizona Senate over Senate subpoenas.

We need to get out of the habit of looking at everything with a knee-jerk cynical attitude by looking at our options, seeing what doesn't and does work, and pressing forward. The alternative is to sink into defeatism.

Wrong. Continuing to support a political party that disenfranchises us is “defeatism.” The alternative is to hold the GOP as an institution responsible for it’s role in the bipartisanly stolen election.. The first step that must be taken is addressing the corruption of those we elected: the GOP.

***********

Its not being cynical. The general lack of accountability and lawlessness in this country is breathtaking. The entire system is corrupt. Everything in government is highly politicized and excessively secretive. Nothing works like it should.

To top it off, we don’t have a political party that fights for us. We are in extremis my FRiend, and the threats to the survivability of this once great country are very real. There is no way to sugarcoat our predicament.

With the pathetic GOP as our only “defensive” option right now we are in a very precarious situation. The GOP is itself the very definition of defeatism.

We are in desperate need of a new party IMO.

Great point.

But the knee-jerk defeatists will never change - they think they are just perfect the way they are.

If you want to get a breath of fresh air, ignore these party-poopers and find interviews and statements from the tireless heroes in AZ and elsewhere who are actually fighting. They are far from defeatist.

Realistic, yes. But not at all defeatist.

I believe corrupt politicians are only unaccountable when people fail to hold them accountable. But these tireless heroes in AZ and elsewhere ARE holding them accountable - and that bodes well for us.

For politicians, public approval is like oxygen - if we withhold our approval from corrupt politicians - they will start dropping like flies.

We just need to do it.
