After looking at the price of beef at Costco this past Saturday, I said the same thing to my wife. Like you I have plenty of hay in the barn as well.

“I raise my own beef, I have chickens, and can easily get pork.”

Don’t worry, it’ll catch up to you some other way.

I’ve got a 1/4 steer coming next month, and the steer I’m now raising, ‘Weber,’ goes to ‘The Spa’ this coming March. ;)

We also have venison, elk, bear and all kinds of wild-caught fish in the freezers and I am canning garden produce like a madwoman this season.

There are ways around all this BS Mother Government continually throws at us. In fact, I find it quite enjoyable thwarting the beotch at every turn. :)

I just checked and the store-brand coffee I always buy is holding steady and not increasing, so that’s good. Now, if the price of CHOCOLATE were suddenly to skyrocket, that WOULD be an issue for me. ;)

They don’t care. They think if people don’t eat beef it will reduce global warming.

The Propaganda “News Misleadia” can ignore the story all they want.

People on the ground, standing at the registers, see and feel it all.

I’m not a piggie 🐷 or cow 🐮 eater, but not happy to hear this because meat is just one thing going up. Everything else is, too. Just to fill up my little Honda with regular at Sam’s, which is always the cheapest in town, was $30 the other day. Not sure why we have so many braindead morons in this country.

Last I heard, general inflation rate was now over 8% based on August data.

Comrade, whatever you do, do not cast blame on the current administration for economic troubles. As Dear Leader likes to say, ‘think how bad it would be if the other guy was still in charge.’ Rising prices are caused by those backward people in backward states who are bucking science (and wearing Dear Leader’s patience thin) by not enthusiastically embracing social distancing, mask wearing, and questioning the efficacy of a vaccine that doesn’t appear to be all that infection in preventing the spread of the virus that most definitely did not come from China.

I played a softball tournament there.
It was pretty windy, though beautiful.
My favorites were Waipi’o and Pololu Valley.

Fake news shows continue to ignore real news.

I wasn’t really expecting otherwise and haven’t watched them for many years.

I stocked-up on Filet Mignons (50), Ribeyes (75), Rib Roasts (30), 6oz Crabcakes (150), Steak Burgers (100), Steak Dogs (75) late last year, and have 2 Whirlpool 18.8 CuFt top-load chest freezers, at a 3-day beef & seafood sale price. Good deal, compared to today’s prices.

That makes sense since they were given a whopping 25% increase.

I can’t even tell you the last time I bought red meat. Too expensive for me.

“Food Dive reported in June of a spike in meat and poultry demand while meat processing companies were wrestling with worker shortages”

Well, they’ll have a new pool of Muslim migrants available shortly to work in their processing plants. And all of the illegal aliens pouring over our southern border. Migrants to the rescue.
