Dr. Anthony Fauci has had himself a year (or two).

As 2020 began, he was a senior federal bureaucrat best-known for helping defang the AIDS crisis. A week before, he had turned 79, well past the standard retirement age for government employees - though he controlled a multi-billion research budget and no one was publicly suggesting he step down.

The novel coronavirus changed everything for him.

To be clear, I’m not writing today about the substance of the choices we and Fauci face.

Nor will I examine the evidence that weeks after Sars-Cov-2 emerged, Fauci appeared worried the virus had leaked from a lab in Wuhan performing the “gain-of-function” research he championed. Those are crucial topics worthy of a deep dive. For now I simply want to look at Fauci’s attitude.

Alex Berenson is a former NYT writer who has written the nonfiction book "Tell Your Children: The Truth About Marijuana, Mental Illness, and Violence". Marajuana is not as harmless as its supporters say.

According to the WSJ, Through AIDS, Ebola and Covid, Dr. Fauci Is Still Treating Patients, and other sources, Fauci is a attending physician at NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda two or three days a week. He has suited up in PPE to treat Covid patients.

Fauci did not “defang” HIV. He was responsible for making it more deadly than ever by providing a mRNA “vaccine” that did not help, and only made patients sicker. Ditto for Ebola. Now, he likely faces charges of crimes against humanity in international court for the gain of function research. No kidding, the process has been started. He knew what he was doing, and nobody with the power to stop him has done anything but encourage him.

Your posts mixes up 40 years of history. Moderna is only start mRNA vaccine trials for AIDS. There has not been a mRNA vaccine for AIDS until recently.

I thinkg you got the size of the numbers reversed. Fauci’s decisions to block reserach and “right to try” for prevention and early treatment is going to come back to haunt him.
