Well, accurately, “the” University of Texas should only and always abbreviated “tu” ....
My dad, an Austin graduate engineer back in the early 50’s, went to a UT-UT (University of Tennessee ) football game. In the mud. Both teams in Orange and White. Both muddy. Both wet, cold, and miserable.
Terrible game, but so bad and so miserable with so many errors it became funny.
There are more Tennessee state flags honoring the dead at the Alamo than any other state. (The Volunteers? duh!)
Herbstreit is also a motor-mouth and just destroys my enjoyment of the game. He's a 'volume down-er'.
