Is the guy in the purple shirt a staffer or someone from the school (student or teacher?)? They guy has notes in his hand - I was assuming he was going to speak next. I don’t see why a staffer would be standing there. I assume there were staffers offstage who told Joe to get back out there.

If you look closely, it's a kid. Probably somebody from the student body at the school standing by to make some remarks.
